For more than eight decades, the best horses, owners, jockeys and trainers have converged at Keeneland each April and October to compete in “racing as it was meant to be.” At Keeneland, the safety and welfare of horse and rider is priority number one. Keeneland continues to support and invest in programs that protect our equine and human athletes. Among them, the Thoroughbred Safety Coalition, an initiative to unify and enhance existing protections and develop new reforms that ensure the safety of the sport’s athletes.
