Turfway opened Aug 27, 1959, as Latonia, a nod to the original Latonia that ran 1883-1939. Renamed in 1986, it has been owned by Churchill Downs Inc. since October 2019. It is home of the Jeff Ruby Steaks (G3) and Bourbonette Oaks (listed), which offer official qualifying points races for the Kentucky Derby and Kentucky Oaks.
