Kentucky-bred Ramatuelle became a Group 1 winner on Sunday, Oct. 6, taking the seven-furlong Prix de la Foret (G1) at Lonchamp. Stalking the early pace, Ramatuelle split horses late, moved into the clear with a furlong remaining and drew out to win impressively by three lengths over Kinross (GB), a former winner of the Foret.

Based in France with trainer Christopher Head, Ramatuelle was bred in Kentucky by Yeguada Centurion S.L. and is owned by Infinity 9 Horses/C.W. Kwok. Infinity 9 Nine Horses is headed by former San Antonio Spurs basketball player Tony Parker. Ramatuelle is expected to conclude her 2024 campaign in the Breeders’ Cup Mile (G1) at Del Mar.

In addition to her Group 1 victory, Ramatuelle finished third in this year’s Coronation Stakes (G1) at Ascot, and third in the 1000 Guineas (G1) at Newmarket. Last season at two, Ramatuelle captured the Prix Robert Papin (G2) at Chantilly, and the Prix du Bois Longines (G3), also at Chantilly.

By Justify, Ramatuelle is the first foal out of the G2 Goldene Peitsche and G3 Summer Stakes winner Raven’s Lady (GB), by Raven’s Pass.
